There have been over 200 copies sold so far and I’ll host a Book Launch and Signing at Park Road Books from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Sept. 28.”
Drawing Down the Moon is the first of a three-part trilogy that features North Carolina native Jade Montgomery and a fictional island off the coast of North Carolina. It’s a story of one woman’s search for herself and those who make her life special and meaningful. Her personal crisis and retreat to James Island brings her a new realization of purpose, friendship, and love.
Shawn is a native North Carolinian and lives in Charlotte in the Lake Norman area. She graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with degrees in administration of criminal justice and political science. Prior to turning her hand to creative writing, she was a journalist, editorial photographer, newspaper editor, and award-winning columnist. Her professional affiliations include Women’s Fiction Writers Association, North Carolina Writers’ Network, Women’s National Book Association-Charlotte, and the Charlotte Writers Club. Her next book and the second in the series, Turn of the Silver Wheel, will be published in 2020.
